Cotton Industry
Cotton Balls originate from the cotton plant. Cotton grows in balls located around the seeds of the plants. The fiber is spun and woven. It is used in its natural form. Cotton Balls are soft fiber, used in medical and cosmetic fields. Cotton Balls are one of the basic requirements in hospitals and parlors. Its uses are unlimited from cleaning wounds, applying topical ointments such as salves and creams, and stopping blood. Surgical procedures also require their use for soaking up internal blood. Also, they are used to pad a wound before it is bandaged.
Another major user of cotton balls is in the cosmetic industry where its application and removal of cream is popular. Foundations, bronzers, powders and blushes are applied with Cotton Balls. Nail polish is usually removed with removers soaked with a cotton ball. Cotton balls available for cosmetic use are sterile hence they are a great tool for removing eye makeup with special remover, or applying skin care products such as astringents and toners. When people use cotton balls on their faces, they avoid touching their skin with fingers which lead to unpleasant blemishes.
Cotton Balls have their creative uses too. They are used for art and craft projects, like making bunny’s tail, Santa’s beard, clouds, spider webs and snow. Snowmen, lambs or sheep can be made with them. Painting or ink stamping with a cotton ball will give an original stroke or print when trying to create the appearance of texture in an art project.
