One of the nice qualities about cotton is that it can be combined with natural or man-made fabrics. For long it has been blended with wool in varying degrees. Sometimes called wool cotton the combination is quite common and popular for winter clothing in many countries. The combinations of the two are ideal as both are soft and can be procured from natural sources. In addition wool is also fire-retardant. Where wool cotton combinations are applied? Crib mattresses for babies made of wool cotton-separately or blended are safe choices for mothers around the world. While most babies are comfortable with cotton on their skin, wool can be a problem. An advice from the doctors can settle the issue if such blended mattresses can be used. And most infants feel the warmth of the womb with wool cotton.
Knitted wool cotton dresses are also a big hit with women. They can be used as jerseys in winter months. These clothes provide warmth when going outdoors and keep the chill out of the body. Every year fashion trends can be seen on the catwalks for winter where the blend of these fabrics is applied. What makes the blend so full of warmth and style at the same time? With the soft feel of the two fabrics blended, they give the impression of an expensive garment. But depending on the variety of the two fabrics used, process applied, machine-handmade garments the prices are fixed. Branded wool cotton garments are costlier than unbranded ones.
