Laundry Instructions For Cotton Clothing To Last Long

It is not easy to wash different kinds of clothing material together. Cotton, even though it is durable, is a soft fibre which needs to be maintained properly by careful washing. Try these ways of washing. Here are some instructions for managing the laundry better. Do not mix the whites with other colored clothes.
Hand-washing clothes is really an option for busy people, but the first step in fighting shrinkage is hand washing. If you know which linen is prone to dramatic shrinkage (more than 10 percent) hand wash it.
2. Whether it is in the machine or by hand, always wash cotton clothes in cold water. It is easier both on the shrinkage and the cloth overall.
3. Give clothes a stretch when they come out of the wash. This will counter any shrinkage.
4. It is important to line dry the clothes. The heat and rapid drying of an electric or gas clothes drier might be convenient, but it also shrinks clothing as quickly as it dries them out.
5. Separate delicate clothing like stockings and underwear. Wash them separately.
6. Loading should be done properly. Cover completely with water and no higher than the top of the agitator vanes. There is no benefit of overloading a washer.
7. Select the right temperature and other conditions.
8. After washing, sort the clothes properly and dry it in open air or in a drier.
Clothes should not be open to too much sunlight or heavy rains while drying.
