National Cotton Council

National cotton council is considered to be a leading organization for cotton industry of USA. It is an organization which ensures the ability of all American cotton industry segments to compete effectively and to give directions to run this industry profitably in America and abroad. The cotton industry mainly includes raw cotton and oil seeds. This organization is trying to bring harmony among producers, ginners and warehouses. It coordinates the exchange of cotton between corporate and manufactures.

National cotton council is also monitoring the activities of different stakeholders in cotton industry. The organization is also trying to bring consensus between these stake holders and Government. The activities of National cotton council are being mediated through a democratically well developed policy and the annual policy making of this organization is being implemented through the council’s six program committees. The program committee recommendations are being monitored and reformulated by 35-member directors. They are acting as a resolution committee. It will have to be adopted by the voting of the delegates of National Cotton Council at their national meeting. National Cotton Council also plays a prominent role in American economic life. There are similar kinds of organizations across the world which focuses on activities that can bring out changes in the cotton industry and encourage use of cotton. And the national cotton council has also come up with many subsidies and programs to protect the imbalance in cotton industry. It keeps the industry, production and business in check, till it reaches the consumer.
