Women Clothing
Many women have worn silk and nylon stockings like their second skin without thinking about them ever. But did you know that during the world war II, American women gave up the luxury of nylon stockings as the raw material coming from Japan has stopped. Women working in the army were now required to wear cotton socks. But the sacrifice that they made did not go unnoticed. The government started campaign of cotton socks which were popularized by Hollywood celebrities. Now nylon cotton blends are used as part of protective clothing in hospitals where long hours of work ensure that the skin is safe. There are no allergic reactions. They are flame retardant so that they do not lose their properties when being laundered frequently. The use of Nylon Cotton fabric for military wear has ensured this combination is ideal for the people who have to live in these garments for long. The durability and softness of cotton combined with the smoothness of nylon still make them the right choice. The clothes made from the blend of these two fabrics are breathable and comfortable as endorsed by women and men soldiers.
The ideal combination is 70 % cotton and 30 % nylon filament. This makes the garment durable in terms of wear and tear. They can be roughed up without losing their resilience. With sufficient flame retardant properties and high strength retention it gives an excellent finish to the entire fabric. As for fashion, who cares in times of war?
