A trademark conforming to laws tops the sales charts in export and local markets. Cotton crop has actually been one of the most pesticide sprayed everywhere. Which means in some countries like Africa it is a cash crop too for many unemployed. Organic cotton clothing is expensive, as lady bugs are used instead of chemically harmful pesticides. Manure is applied in place of fertilizers. If the buyers are turning sensible, then the manufacturers have to be responsible enough and clear the air and make the cash crop work better.
