The power of organic cotton cannot be denied. It is interesting to know that nearly 70 countries on the planet grow cotton. It adds up to 89 arecas where cotton is made. Yes, at one time it was the most pesticide sprayed crop, but now organic cotton is be cultivated. One of the biggest reasons is that bed sheets made of pure cotton help sleep well. In turn it increases daily productivity for many industries. It’s rather a sensible and sustainable idea to grown organic cotton. It may land up being a more tedious process but still it helps the planet to remain habitable. So why not sacrifice a little to make earth give us back some more?
Organic cotton now features on a global stage with fashion making runaways as their talking point. The process of awareness has already been initiated and chances are that more designers will turn to organic clothing apparel and make them usable beyond fashion runaways. This change at the peak level will ensure it percolates down to the common consumer. Organic cotton has given way to reputed brands to bring out the eco-line. So Philips Lim brings out the organic cotton line for the Barney label. Hemp is now a regular at the Calvin Klein studio.
The farmers can now have a field day with organic cotton bringing them back in focus. They are happy as people are realising what it is to sink into a pure cotton sheet after a hard day’s work.
