tribute to cotton fabric

Its not that the world is going crazy over cotton because it is environmentally safe-It is a versatile fabric that defies normal wear and tear, tumble and fumble in washing machines. Yet it manages to look its best when worn for the umpteenth time! Really, one should give a standing ovation to the cotton fabric that has existed for so long. The best tribute to this fabric comes from art. A blind Latino artist’s works has inspired a cotton fabric collection. George Mendoza was an athlete but a disease left him blind. He turned to writing and painting. His artwork is simply stunning. His artwork is now transformed into a cotton fabric collection which has been displayed a few weeks ago at the international quilt market show. A tribute in cotton fabric is the best honour.
Indian and Egyptian cotton fabrics have covering millions of human beings for generations. Other countries too have started the production, as cotton fabric becomes a sought after by many other industries. Humans are now eco-conscious. They are looking at comfort and aesthetics to add value to their fabrics. Cotton is cheap and durable. In its pure state, it is also chemical free. Hence, it is returning to its première position in fashion industry, textiles, art (making canvas) and shoes. It gives enough breathing space for the skin. When 300 years ago cotton fabric was first spun in England in 1730, they realised its benefits. It began an industrial revolution and employment for many generations.
